About Me

Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

a tea for two...mom and baby boy!

My daughter, daughter -in- law, a few very close friends
and I gathered at the British Pantry and Tea Room on Saturday.
Our little tea party was to honor the mom-to-be and to celebrate
the May arrival of our newest grandson.

As you can see, there was plenty of delicious food
and pretty tea cups to sip from.
Our meal was called "A Taste of Britain" tea
and included scones, sausage roll, chicken salad sandwiches,
cucumber sandwiches, Prince William cake, and cookies.
Everything was fresh and tasty!

Our friends, who have known our son all or most of his life
were thoughtful and generous. "Mom" received very nice
gifts...gift cards, toys, wipes, etc.
The baby boy's room is decorated in an adventure theme,
so this book was perfect!

This was new to me... a baby monitor with a video feature.

And his aunt made sure he has an outfit for our beach trip this summer !

We were careful to hold our cups correctly...
notice the pinkies! ha! ha!

 Sweet forever friends!
(see the "pretty" white containers? got to take the leftovers home!)

It was a sweet, relaxed party and a joy to share this special
event with ladies we love!

Love these daughters of mine!!

Back at the house, Dad was happy to check out the "loot"!

We are so grateful for the precious gift of another grand!
Can't wait to see him, hold him, and watch mom and dad
use all these wonderful gifts! :-)

  6. I love tea parties! My daughter and I are having one in a couple weeks with two other moms and daughters plus an English friend who will clue us in on all the "right" ways to do things! I'm making scones for the event.

Enjoy anticipating the arrival of another baby!

  7. That looked like a very fun baby shower you had! I love the tea theme. I don't know if you sew or not but I found this today and since you have having a boy grandbaby I thought I'd share this with you! It is a bib that is shaped like a tie! It is so sweet! I wish I knew about this when my boy was a baby because I would have so made them for him. Here's the link: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93573340/designer-baby-necktie-bibs-set-of-3?ref=correlated_featured I didn't realize it until I clicked on it to get the link but they are something you can buy if you want to. I don't know them. Just thought it was a really cute idea for baby boys!

  8. Thank you for inviting me to this wonderful tea! I have loved the British Pantry candy; Leah and Ken have bought the Yorkshire tea, but I have never eaten there! It was so good. The fellowship and blessings on the mother-to-be and the little one were a joy.
