Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

a deal for a dollar

When I checked my email at yahoo yesterday,
I saw this article:

15 Things You Should Buy at the Dollar Store!

GREETING CARDS

SOCKS

PARTY SUPPLIES

GIFT WRAP, BAGS, BOXES

SEASONAL DECOR

READING GLASSES

HAIR ACCESSORIES, BRUSHES, AND COMBS

PREGNANCY TESTS

VASES AND DECORATIVE BOWLS

COFFEE MUGS AND GLASSES

DISHWARE

STORAGE CONTAINERS

PICTURE FRAMES

BAGGED CANDY

DISH TOWELS

My favorite dollar store is Dollar Tree where everything is $1.
I haven't bought all of these at our store, but I have purchased
enough to know it is a stop worth making.
If I can save money, especially on things you throw away
like cards and party and wrapping supplies, I am all for it!
So, if you have a dollar store in your area and have
never checked it out...
you don't know what you've been missing!! :-)

  1. I love Dollar Tree! My mom's town had one before mine did, and the big drawback was that whenever I went in there ... I spent a LOT more than a dollar! :)

  2. That's our new favorite go to store for sending holiday packages to Andrew in Afghanistan. He will not be able to bring anything we send him home with him so it makes sense to get the best deal we can to fill his boxes.

  3. Dollar Trees are the best. I was introduced to my first one in Bellingham, Wash. just across the border a few years ago. I was leaving on a missions trip to Africa with 9 other ladies and we were buying school supplies, personal hygiene products, tooth brushes etc and I went crazy in this store. I'm sure half my suitcase was stuff from there. Since then we now have Dollar Trees in Canada, but everything is $1.25. Still a good deal though.

  7. We have a Dollar General near us --and we always buy our greeting cards there. I also buy my reading glasses there. AND--I've bought storage containers there. They are cheaper even than Walmart...

    Hugs,
    Betsy
