Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

too early soup

We had a few 70 degree days over the weekend and the first of the week. So, I made the first soup of the fall. It was delicious and the mini corn muffins were tasty, too. Sadly, the temps went back up and so did the humidity. Ugh! So, soup doesn't sound so appealing anymore. :-(
But I made a huge pot full so we have to eat it until it's gone. Or maybe I will take Ellen's advice and share it with the neighbors. :-)
Hope you all have a wonderfully blessed weekend. I'll be attending two baby showers for my daughter. So, there will be pictures to share next week!

  3. Have fun at your baby showers. Yes, it is hot like that here with the humidity, I would love to have soup weather. So tired of the cooking I have been doing now and I am ready for the soups and the stews.
    Have a wonderful weekend.

  4. Big pots of homemade soup are wonderful in cooler weather. I think much of the world would laugh and you and me calling 70's temperatures "cool" however! But I know just what you mean. It sure feels wonderfully cool to me. I made a big pot of bean soup yesterday...it was "cool" yesterday morning but then warmed up to the mid 80's. Looks like you and I are in the same situation with lots of delicious winter-weather soup but summertime climates at the moment.

  8. Would this freeze well? I'm trying to start cooking some things that we can freeze to have for after the baby comes. I need ideas.
