Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

well done!

Yesterday, our pastor talked about encouragement.  His scripture was Heb. 10:19-25. God encourages us with His Word and then He calls us to encourage others. He cited a list by Chuck Swindoll ( a well-known pastor, author, speaker) that suggests ways to do just that. Here is the list:

~observe and mention admirable traits in others
~write thank you notes to those who have been a blessing to you
~notice a job well done and say so
~cultivate a positive, reassuring attitude
~be supportive of someone hurting

We are to encourage, or "stir one another up" to love and good works. I would add ...being a responsible, trustworthy friend, employee, or volunteer. What would you add to the list?

  7. I think encouragement is way underrated these days. I know that we all are often so busy that we don't think we have the time to stop and give a bit of encouragement ... but we need to. Thanks for the reminder ... and the encouragement to be an encourager.
