Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

cookie "disc"

On Dec 3, Judy, posted this wonderful and creative idea for giving cookies......in paper CD sleeves! I knew immediately it would be perfect for a "little something" for our co-workers. So, I told my sweet girl and as they say these days
she was "all over it"! :-)

We chose snickerdoodles because they are simple and everyone likes them. Judy used rub-on designs....I bought stickers. My girl decorated the sleeves while I baked the cookies.....teamwork!!
I used (per Judy's instructions via email) an ice cream scoop for the dough and it makes just the right size cookie.
We took them in today and they were a HUGE hit! Everyone thought they were very special. I was sure to give Judy the credit...even though they don't know her! :-) It made us very happy to bless our friends in such a cute way! Thanks Judy!!!

  2. That is such a good idea, I am going to have to try that. I never ever thought about doing that and it would make a nice size yummy cookie for gifts. Thanks Miss Debbie.

  3. I bought the sleeves at Office Depot (because it was convenient and less crowded), but you can get them at W Mart, Target, etc. They also come in colors, but the boxes are multi-colored. So,it depends on the colors you want to us and how many you want to make if that would be cost prohibitive. Have fun!

  5. First of all, your blog decor looks so pretty and festive. Secondly, I did get this fun idea from Martha Stewart a few years ago and have used it quite often since then. You and your daughter sure are a good team. You did a beautiful job on decorating these cute little packages. Most importantly, you are sharing joy this holiday season, and that is what it is all about. Thank you for your kindness in mentioning me.
