I have two friends who are going through a time of trial, sorrow, and loss. I discovered this song by Sovereign Grace today and it made me think of them. I have been in that same valley some this year, so I know how it feels to be there. This song would have ministered to me during that time. I hope, if you are hurting today, it will bless and encourage you. I would also recommend that you read what Kim had to say today. She wrote a beautiful post about trials and sorrow and God's purpose in them. I believe it will touch your heart as it did mine.

Thank you so much for your kind words. My family has been in a trial for the last 10 months. It has eased up some, so I am able to lift my head and see how God has really used it in our family to pull us together into a cohesive unit. I think that was why that verse just leaped off the page, because HE loves us. It has gone though my mind still all day. I keep going back to my Bible to read it again and again.
ReplyDeleteReally I say this from my heart, I am thankful for it all if God can use what He has taught me to lift your burden. To give you comfort in all of your tribulations.
Blessings to you today, Miss Debbie.
A hug just in case you need one. O
Hugs to both of you!!!!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful expression of God's love and care, and how His grace is made ever more real to us in the valley....thank you for sharing this. I had not heard it before.
ReplyDeleteI just had to tell you how much I laughed at that. Yes, I think it is amazing how our hearts keep beating after all of those shocks. The only thing is now that my son has 3 boys, the twins are like double him. They are very sweet but boy do they keep them hopping. I am so glad God let me be a mother and wouldn't change one thing ever. Thanks for posting that, it makes me laugh.
ReplyDeleteI have to tell you just how good it is to have the opportunity in these early morning hours, to visit your blog again. This beautiful song inspired me, the soup recipe urged me to try something new and the story from your pastor reminded me of just how important my words are, especially around the little ones that surround me in my life right now. Thank you for blogging. I am sorry I missed your generous giveaway, but I do want to congratulate Heather on being the fortunate winner.
