Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

a nutty surprise!

We have very thoughtful and generous patients at our office. They are always bringing us nice things to eat or enjoy. Often we receive  cakes, pies, doughnuts or cookies. In the summer, when gardens are producing, we are blessed with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and corn. Every Christmas, one lady makes pretty beaded ornaments for us. Well, this week, a huge burlap bag of pecans was dropped off in our kitchen. If you have ever had to buy pecans, you know that was a very generous gift! I have some in my freezer that we "inherited" from my MIL's freezer when she died. But, I am always grateful to have more!

Our Doc has always made quality care delivered with kindness and friendliness a priority. He wants our patients' visits to be as pleasant as possible. I think they appreciate that kind of care and, as a result, enjoy expressing their gratitude.

And we are glad they do!! :-)

  2. Wow - how nice, but unusual for a doctor's office to be so sweet.

  3. YES! What a great gift. I know the price of any "nut" these days is crazy! Thanks for the visit today. Can't believe your daughter got her Kitchen Aid for only $15. That's FANTASTIC!

  4. what a wonderful story. I love pecans, they are my favorite of all nuts. my dad had 3 big trees when i was growing up and i loved to eat them, but complained bitterly about picking them up and shelling them after he cracked them. felt like it was abuse. now i wish i had those pecans

  5. ps. wish our doctors office was like yours, we have had four doctors in 23 years, changing due to changing insurance, and none of them made me want to bring them presents
