About Me

Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

back to the ronald mcdonald house

It was our turn to take a meal to the
 Ronald McDonald House again
last Friday night.

This was our "token" man! Hubby to one
 of the ladies who went.
He was a great help!

We decided to do "pasta" night...

...with salad and bread...

...and rice krispie treats for dessert!

It is a beautiful facility with a great kitchen!
It has two ovens, three dishwashers,
three sinks,

lots of drawers and cabinets,

a LARGE refrigerator, a freezer, and
a big pantry!
It is a great place to serve a meal.

We met three of the families who were
staying there. They all had infants
in the Children's Hospital....two
newborns and one three month old.
It was a privilege to talk with them,
pray for them and serve them a
home cooked meal.
We are so grateful for the opportunity
God has given us! :-)

  2. What a wonderful avenue of service! You are being the 'hands and feet' of Jesus to those who are in need.

  3. Wow! What a very special way to serve our Risen Saviour! I am sure you all were a huge blessing to those parents...I have some friends who recently had their baby in NICU and the Ronald McDonald House was such a huge blessing to them!

When I first read your title, I thought that one of your sweet grandbabies was ill...so glad to read differently! :)
