Welcome...I'm delighted that you chose to visit! I started this blog in March 2010 and I am so happy that I did. It has made me more aware of the many ways that God is blessing my life. I have made some special friends who bless, teach, encourage, and entertain me! My desire is to be an encouragement to you. I hope you will tarry for a while and that you will come back to visit often.

scouting the divine

I attended the first class of this study at church tonight. There are many references to sheep, wine, and honey in the Bible. In an effort to better understanding those comparisons, the author spent time with a shepherdess, a farmer, a bee keeper, and a vine keeper. She asked them to interpret scriptures about their profession, not from a theological point of view, but from their experience in those fields (no pun intended!). We know that God is intentional in everything He does, so it is certain that He used these metaphors for a reason. I look forward to learning the divine significance of wool, wine, and honey...... and the divine significance it will have for me in knowing my God and His Word better!

  1. It sounds good, since I have been all of those, I think it would be very interesting kind of study. You will have to let me know what you have been learning.
