We all know kids say funny
things. They mispronounce words, get them
turned around, leave out syllables, add syllables...etc. Our older son said "plilow" instead of pillow. Our younger son said "surjal" instead of cereal. Our daughter said "wahgan" instead of water. Our oldest grand said "fanks" instead of thanks. Her sister says "livingin room" instead of living room. Tonight I heard about our grandson's latest. He jumped out from behind something to scare his mom and said "uhfrize"... she said "I think he meant "surprise"!" So cute! He is spending the night, so I'm sure we will hear some more of his "four year old" vocabulary while he is here! At any rate, he makes us smile...hope you have many reasons to smile this weekend!

I love baby words and I wish they never had to change to the right way to say things. It makes me so happy to hear baby words. Have a very fun night with your grandson. I got to have 3 of mine yesterday and I loved it so much. I loved how they just get in my lap and you can feel them snuggle in and just relax. I loved being a mother and I am so, so blessed to be a gama. I can tell you are too. Have a fun evening, Miss Debbie.
ReplyDeleteI how I wish our grandbaby lived close enough to spend the night - or just stop by for that matter! Florida seems so far away!! I know you enjoy those special times:) I also love the cute names/nick names (whether intentional or not!) that children have for others...especially their siblings. Our son called his older sister, Punky, for so long.....I don't even know if he knew her right name?!
