About a week ago, Landis posted about contemplating what her response would be if God asked her to give up something that was important even precious to her. She came to this conclusion:
"Being a part of His world is way better than being a part of this one." And she quoted
1 Cor.7:31 "Those who use the things of this world should not become attached to them. For this world, as we know it will soon pass away."
Recently, I was listening to a Mercy Me CD and heard this song. It reminded me of what Landis had to say about saying "yes" to God when He calls....regardless of what He asks. If God ever required it, I pray this would be my reply.......
"And I know that I can find You here
'Cause You promised me You'd always be there
Times like these, it's hard to see
But somehow I have a peace, You're near
And I pray that You will use my life
In whatever way Your name is glorified
Even if surrendering
Means leaving everything behind
My life has never been this clear
Now I know the reason why I'm here
You never know why You're alive
Until you know what you would die for
I would die for You
And I know I don't have much to give
But I promise You I will give You all there is
Can I possibly do less
When through Your own death I live?
My life has never been this clear
Now I know the reason why I'm here
You never know why You're alive
Until you know what you would die for
I would die for You"

... wow! Profound words! Life really isn't worth living any other way, is it?
It is true, but in that still moment before God when He shows you why you were created. What I have found is that always I was created to glorify Him but that today, I may change the world and make it a tiny bit better, which all it maybe is a tiny smile to someone who needed it.
ReplyDeleteIt is the tiny things that we do every day, that sometimes do the greatest work. :)
