One thing our grands always look forward to at our house is...
befriending and feeding the koi and goldfish in our pond.
Our younger son and his two children,
our grandson and Little L,
spent some time tickling the fish one day last week.
Today, Little E had her turn.
No fear here, she just reaches right in!
(The net is to keep the falling leaves, from this time of year,
out of the pond. Makes keeping it clean easier...thanks for the prompt, Sandra!)
Chief really enjoys the pond and the fish. So, it makes
him happy that the grands like it, too!
Hope your weekend is filled with things and people
that "tickle" you! :-)
everyone looks so happy and what a great thing to have for kids to play in. i see the net to keep the birds away
ReplyDeleteSandra, the net is actually to keep the falling leaves out of the water. We have lots of trees and learned the hard way(after having to clean it every day or two) that the net would catch the leaves and keep them out of the water!
ReplyDeleteAhh, that looks like a lot of fun for the grands! Clever idea with the net, too. Love bloggy suggestions!
ReplyDeletethat is so cute I really like your pond.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the birthday wishes and we had a nice day. Pics to follow on Monday's post.
How wonderful to have a koi pound, it looks lovely. Thanks for clarifying the netting, that's a great idea.
ReplyDeletecute images!! that net will keep the herons out also, they are koi pond lovers!!
ReplyDeleteI love koi...we had a nice koi, ready for more, decide we were moving out of state, so we donated our little koi to a park. Now it's referred to, but family as the koi park.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you explained what the net is for ... I wondered. ;-) And I didn't know that you could tickle the koi. I'll bet your grands love that pond.
