Well, we are not closed, but we are remodeling. Those of you who have been around for a while know that last year about this time, we put our house on the market and starting looking for something with a bigger family room and a laundry room (been married 39 years, never had one!). Well, we did not sell our house and we did not find one we wanted to buy. So, we decided to stay where we are and add those two things... plus a "rocking chair" porch...something I have always wanted! We are also going to do some remodeling in our existing house which includes getting a pantry...yea!!!
And....the work starts tomorrow!!! It is suppose to take about 60 days. I know it is going to be inconvenient and messy, but I am so excited about having more room, more storage, and more convenience when it is done. It has been a long time coming! If the Hubby will stop "sweating the small stuff", I hope to enjoy every step along the way!
I will keep you in the loop as things progress. And I hope to have some beautiful pictures to show you in about two months!

ReplyDeletehope it goes well and quickly for you. have never remodeled but have seen it in friends. also have never had a family room or a laundry room, never had a dishwasher or an ice maker in the fridge. and now I am to old to want one. but i would have loved all this when i was younger. can't wait to see the new rooms and i would love to have a rocker on a porch never had that either and even us old people can do that.
