I received this in an email today. It probably is making the rounds, so you may have already seen it, but if not...enjoy!
"What's in a name?
The famous Olympic skier Picabo Street (pronounced Pee-Ka-Boo) is not
just an athlete. She is now a nurse currently working at an Intensive
Care Unit of a large metropolitan hospital. She is not permitted to
answer the hospital telephones any longer. It caused
too much confusion when she would answer the phone and say, Picabo,
I.C.U. "

ReplyDeleteI just read that she is 41 (in the famous birthdays section of the paper) and was so surprised that she is that old...seems like just a few years ago that she was an Olympic great. I asked my kids if they knew her name, and they were clueless.
