The Hubby and I went to see this movie Monday night. It is a Christian film produced by GraceWorks Pictures. The theme is grace and forgiveness....giving them as freely as we receive them. Granted it is scripted, but it is still an accurate depiction of how God works. One reviewer said....."The Grace Card refreshed my soul. The subject was real and relevant to all people. And the quality of the movie was excellent. If you are struggling with something or just want to be rejuvenated, The Grace Card is what you need to see."
We all know that in the entertainment industry, the bottom line is profit. I read that it cost $200,000 to make this film......that is nothing compared to the millions Hollywood spends making a movie. But it will still take a lot of $7-$10 tickets to re-pay the people who are brave enough to take on a project like this. So, I would encourage you to do some research and, if it is playing in your area, go see it. It would be a great date night! Not only will it bless the producers, but if it does well, maybe Hollywood will get the hint that there is an adult audience for clean, wholesome movies. One more thing...it is rated PG-13 only because the two main characters are police officers and there are two scenes where guns are used. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now...... open it and do some laundry! :-)

I don't go see many movies but this one sounds wonderful. I really can't stand to leave the theater sick to my stomach. Thank you as always for you very kind comments they make my day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this with us. Always nice to hear about good wholesome movies.. (:
ReplyDeleteI will want to check this one out. It is so refreshing when a good movie comes out. There is so much junk out there, we rarely even rent movies any more. Thanks for sharing. Jackie
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up about this movie. I did not hear about it but I know without a doubt that I now want to see it. Love anything that expounds on God's amazing Grace.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad, you know when you put a recipe up I am always afraid that it won't turn out or something. I liked it because it was easy and fast and it tastes like I slaved all day. Thanks for letting me know. My kids take it and mash it up in Moose tracks and eat it like that. I haven't ever done that but there is a ice cream place here that does that so they said it is better than what they serve.
ReplyDeleteYou aren't in a place that has tornadoes are you? Or your son and he daughters? I was praying anyway just in case.
I've heard good things about this movie...thank you for your review. The musician and I may try to see this one...
ReplyDeleteSaige has a post, finally! Read it when you can. I heard this movie mentioned on the radio the other day. Will have to see it later. I've been wanting to talk to you before you leave on your cruise and before I go to Tres Dias, but I have been busy. Maybe in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your sharing the news about The Grace Card movie that released to theaters last Friday (2/25/2011)!
ReplyDeleteNow comes another important milestone: the movie's second weekend. While opening weekend is the benchmark, how well a movie does in its second weekend as compared to its first weekend plays a key role in theaters deciding whether they will keep the film beyond two weeks. If week one is any indication, THE GRACE CARD is making a difference in the lives of people that see it.
Appreciate your support!
I always appreciatge hearing what's good.
