Twenty five years ago, Covenant Care Services, a state-wide
Christian adoption ministry was founded in middle Georgia.
For the last 9 years, they have held a Ladies' Night
out as a fundraiser.
out as a fundraiser.
For the past five years, the doctor I work for has bought tickets
so we could attend. This year's event was last Thursday.
After the program, which featured a local
Christian singing artist,
Christian singing artist,
we went to a fellowship area for dessert .
This was the table that greeted us as we entered the doors.
It was beautiful...especially with my daughter and our friend and co-worker,
Kristen, standing beside it!
Another impressive table marked the center of the room.
Dessert consisted of various cupcakes and fresh strawberries....
not as elaborate as in past years, but simple is good.
And cupcakes are certainly the rage these days!
The back of the program shared these facts about Covenant Care:
--We are a gospel ministry, not just an adoption agency.
The message of redemption through Jesus pervades all we do.
--We are committed to primarily serving Georgia.
--We respect the dignity of birthmothers.
We never coerce women to choose adoption and do not
pressure them through the decision making process.
--We are committed to keeping adoption affordable.
We are one of the few adoption agencies in the Southeast
that does not rely primarily on adoption fees for our income.
Covenant Care also works in conjunction with
Caring Solutions, a Christian center for crisis pregnancies.
I am grateful for the wonderful work this organization does
and that it is located in our area.
I am also grateful for a caring boss who desires to support
this ministry and to bless us!
you have a wonderful boss.. and it all looks beautiful and for a good cause you got a night out for free...
