Last Thursday, I got a new computer at work.
No matter how good your IT guy is, there always
seems to be glitches in the transfer of programs.
Settings revert back to default, icons don't make it
to the desktop, files get put where you can't find them!!
It was a little frustrating and I spent Monday morning
standing around waiting while the computer guy
and the scanner guy tried to get the "bugs" out.
But, there was nothing to do but be patient and trust
that things were going to get better!
Yesterday, we finally got everything restored.
The computer is faster and the graphics
are better....so, it's all good!
Some of my days have "glitches"...
things don't go as expected.
My schedule changes, I don't have what I need
to make dinner, the dishwasher breaks,
I cut my finger opening a can!
Those things can be frustrating and can spoil a day!
Many times, there's not much you can do about it ...
except be patient and hope it's gonna get better.
God says in Romans 12:12,
"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation..."
Sounds like a good plan to me! :-)
Yes---those kinds of things happen to all of us, sometimes when we least expect them to.... I remember when your company made the huge change from using paper to the computer... BUT--at least, they are trying to keep up with the times... My step-daughter works for an eye doctor --and they are still using 'paper' instead of computer. It's SO hard for her --since she knows how much better things work when put on the computer.....
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling... As we all know, the good things in life always outshine the 'trying' times...
Hugs,
Betsy
Yes, and you know what I was thinking just this morning? Those glitches have turned out to be some of my greatest blessings. Things I thought were bad have turned out to be really nice changes and upgrades. It is all in the learning curves. Our Father always knows best. :) Very good comparison.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful reminder.
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed. It is frustrating when things don't work the way they should. It's always good to take and deep breath and remember who is in control...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great reminder!!(I too hate new computers or programs)
ReplyDeleteSuch good advice from Romans 12! It's just not always so easy to be patient as we 'get through it'.
ReplyDeleteall the doctors are scrambling to get on line, they have until Jan1 of 2015 to be 100 percent online. per our doctors is where i got that info.
ReplyDeletei can relate to the change over.. i worked for a very large HR outsourcing company and every time they updated the system is was a nightmare to get our work done. we always got lots of overtime. i don't remember me being patient though. LOL
I love my local IT guys--both are my sons :) It's what one of them does for a living.
ReplyDeleteAs for life's little glitches, they drive me crazy, but I try not to let them get the best of me. Sometimes they make interesting blog stories, anyway :)
